The 29th century (Gregorian Calendar) comprises,for some, the years 2801-2900. This is almost the same as the twenty-eight hundreds, which is the time between 2800 and 2899. (Some people argue that, because there was no year 0, this is not the same as the 29th century, although some people, correctly or incorrectly, treat it as so).

Astronomical predictions for the 29th century
- On March 16, 2880, there is a 1-in-300 probability that asteroid (29075) 1950 DA will hit the Earth, causing an extinction-level event.
- The remnants of Comet Ikeya-Seki are expected to return to the inner solar system. It was last seen from Earth in 1965-1966 and broke into three pieces as it approached the Sun.

- Some episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager feature characters from the 29th century.
- In the Futurama episode Xmas Story, 2801 was the year of the first Xmas massacre, caused by an evil robotic Santa Claus.
- Enix's Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is set in the year 2859 (772 SD).
