Acton Equality is an ad-hoc organization of concerned citizens of Acton, Massachusetts working to uphold the right to same-sex marriage and to defeat anti-gay legislation including any amendments to the Massachusetts Constitution or the United States Constitution, while providing outreach and education on general LGBT rights issues.
Its long term goals include repeal of Don't ask, don't tell, opposing the Federal Marriage Amendment (H.J. Resolution 56/S.J. Resoution 26) and support for full Civil Rights for Queer Americans.
Acton Equality was founded by Jesse Liberty in 2004, and is rapidly growing. While there is no official affiliation with Mass Equality the two organizations attempt to coordinate efforts.
