Adam Hills

Adam Hills (born 1970) is an Australian comedian and television personality.

Hills lived for some time in England, where he developed his comedy act. His first comic gig as at stand-up club The Comedy Store in 1989. He made a number of appearances in comedy TV programs, including several appearances on The Glass House. He is a mainstay of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and its counterparts in Edinburgh and Montreal. He has also appeared on a number of radio stations, including youth network Triple J.

Since 2005 Hills has been the host of ABC comedy program Spicks and Specks. Hills' likable persona and wit has made him a popular host.

Hills is also a writer, and has pitched a number of TV ideas to American networks, one of which is said to have come close to production.

He had a comedy show called Go you big red fire engine

In 2003 Hills had a minor hit in Australia with Working Class Anthem, in which he, and some special guests, sang the words to the Australian national anthem, Advance Australia Fair, to the tune of Jimmy Barnes' famous Working Class Man. Hills has performed this song several times on television, including once on Spicks and Specks when Barnes himself was a guest on the program.

Hills was born without a right foot, and in his own words 'nobody really knows why'. His right foot is artificial. Hills has often mentioned a story in which he performed a strip tease on stage, and removed his artificial foot as a joke, twirling it around his head and throwing it into the audience.

Also, on an episode of Australian TV show The Glass House, Hills used his artificial foot to perform the "walking on ice" scene from Terminator 2: Judgment Day, accompanied by sound effects provided by Wil Anderson.
