Ayerbe is a Villa of the Aragonese Central Somontano (Spain), 28 km from Huesca on highway A 132 in the direction of Pamplona. It is located on the Gállego river. It is bounded the Rocks of Riglos and Loarre to the north; to the east with Loarre and Loscorrales; to the south by Lupiñén-Ortilla, and on the west with Biscarrues and Murillo de Gállego. An area of 6,329 Has. Located at 42º16´30 longitude and 2º59´50" latitude, with a height above the sea of Alicante of 582 m.

It is located in an excavated erosive depression in the marly surface of the tertiary era.

The land is generally dry, composed of loose and stony soil, generally level with a sprinkling of small isolated hills. The land is suited to irrigation. The land is largely covered by grapevine and olive trees with oak and almond trees making a comeback. It is also populated by romeros, aliagas and other shrubs in addition to grass. Occasional occurrences of rabbits, hares, perdices, doves.
