Bengal renaissance

Bengal renaissance is the period of time that saw surge in creative and social activity in Bengal. Researchers disagree on which period should be called the "Bengal renaissance", favorites are early nineteenth century or all of nineteenth century. Some researchers simply say that the change in nineteenth century Bengal does not deserve the term renaissance.
