Subdivisions of Moldova

Moldova is divided into 32 Rayons, or raioane, 3 municipalities (Chişinău, Bălţi and Tighina/Bender), one semi-autonomous, non-contiguous region (Gagauzia), and the breakaway region of Transnistria, the status of which is still disputed.
