DMX Music
(Redirected from Digital Music Express)
Digital Music Express (Now known as DMXMusic following its merger with AEI Music), is a subscription service that provides over 100 channels of music in digital format, delivered via digital cable, satellite, and on-premise technology. It is available in the U.S., Canada, UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Hungary, Poland, South Africa and Australia and is also offered on some 30 airlines world wide. The service began in 1992.
DMXMusic now faces stiff competition from the next generation of services, such as Sirius and XM, both of which deliver their signals directly through small roof-mounted antennas, rather than through a small dish as DMX, DirecTV or Dish Network require. Other companies provide similar services, such as Muzak (via Dish Network, otherwise for businesses only), and Music Choice (via digital cable and DirecTV).
