The Erawan Shrine (Thai ศาลพระพรหม, read San Phra Phrom) is a Hindu shrine housing the image of Brahma. It is located at the intersection between Ratchadamri Road and Ratchaprasong Road in Pathum Wan district, Bangkok, Thailand.

The Erawan Shrine was built in 1956 as part of a government owned Erawan Hotel to correct bad omen believed to be caused by laying foundation in the wrong date. A series of mishaps delayed the construction of the Hotel. An astrologer were brought in to identify the cause and provide the solution. Hence the shrine was built. The Brahma statue was designed and built by Department of Fine Arts and enshrined on 9 November 1956. The hotel construction then proceeded without problem. In 1987, the hotel was demolished and rebuilt to become Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel.de:Erawan-Schrein
