Eric Årsäll

Eric Årsäll son of Blot-Sweyn. Dead in 1088 as the last high priest of the temple of Old Uppsala (Blotgode). Was named king of Sweden by the pagans when his father was killed by Inge II. The name is probably just a title; it means "the man who brought a good harvest" in ancient swedish. His real name was probably Kol Sverkerson, which have led some historians to belive that Sverker I of Sweden was his grandson. This is probably not true since Eric/Kol was just a teenage when he died during the ransacking of the Temple of Uppsala.
