Ey Reqîb

"Ey Reqib" is sung by Kurdish nationalists as the Kurdish national anthem. It was written by the Kurdish poet Dildar in 1938, when he was in a jail in the Kurdistan province of Iran. Ey Reqib means literally "Hey Guardian", but nowadays the title is usually given in English as "Hey Enemy". The song was originally written in Sorani but is also sung in the Kurdish dialect of Kurmanji.
