Federal Minister of Finance (Germany)

The Federal Minister of Finance is the member of the Cabinet of Germany in charge of the Federal Ministry of Finance. He is responsible for managing the federal budget, and as such is the only minister who can veto a decision of the government if it would lead to additional expenditure. The current minister of finance is Hans Eichel, of the SPD.
