Franz Von Eckert
Franz von Eckert (* April 5 1852 in Neurode, Silesia; † August 8 1916 in Seoul, Korea) was a German Musician who did the harmony for Japan's National Anthem, Kimi Ga Yo. In 1902, Eckert also did the harmony for the national anthem of Korean Empire before its annexation to Japan in 1910. He passed away at the age of 65 and his death cause was stomach cancer. His grave is located at Yangwhajin Hapjung-dong Mapo-ku Seoul, Korea.
