Jerome Isaac Friedman (born March 28, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois) is a US physicist. His parents emigrated to the US from Russia. He co-discovered experimental evidence of quarks. He won a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1990. He is an Institute Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
