Japanese Internal Training
In Japan, the Word Ki is similar to the Chinese word Chi (they rhyme, which is very coincidental, and I will explain this). During the period of time where japan was fighting with China, some Japanese hired monks to teach them their ways of Kung Fu. But do you think for a second that the monks would betray their way of life and their country....no. They taught the Japanese an incomplete way of fighting, they taught them to force, they taught them to strain, and this was almost the exact opposite of what Chinese martial arts was based off of. They taught them of the Esoteric energetic system of the body. The name of the energy, Chi (pronounce Chee). But they never taught them a complete form of the actual method, so the Japanese thought that they were doing it correctly, this would lead to health problems and a early death to the practitioners. These methods are now radicalised and are taught over the internet. Most of the exercises consist of forcing the flow of energy through the strained thought and will of moving energy to different areas. While the actual safe and healthy way would be the exact opposite. But some things could be benificial from this, the straining creates muscle, but, it would not last long....
