National Amusements is a chain of movie theaters spanning 1,300 screens, mainly in the New England and Mid-Atlantic areas of the United States. It also owns a controlling interest in the media conglomerate Viacom. Other holdings include 70% of video-game maker Midway Games. The Showcase Cinema chain in the UK is owned by National Amusements.
Sumner Redstone and his family control National Amusements, which was founded by his father Michael Redstone in Valley Stream, New York. Corporate offices are in Dedham, Massachusetts.
