Oeiras is both a parish and a municipality in eastern Lisbon metropolitan area, in conurbation with Lisbon the village population is 34850 the urban area of the village and municipality has 165452. It has several industrial facilities, and commercial is also home of the SIC private portuguese TV station.
It's well known by Jamor, where is located the national football team stadium.
It has also a NATO headquarter.
