Osogbo or Oshogbo is a city in Nigeria. It is located in the present day, Osun state. With a population of 845,957. Osogbo people are of the Yoruba ethnic group, the largest single ethnic group in Nigeria.

The city lies on the railway from Lagos to Kano and has a population of around 50,000 people. It is known for the Oshogbo School of Art, for its sacred forest, for its annual festival and for the Oja Oba Market building, said to be the former Oba's palace.

Osogbo City has a university, called the Ladoke Akintola University, and the television and radio stations NTA Osogbo, Osun State Television, Radio Osun and FM Osogbo. It is home to companies including the Nigeria Machine Toolsand the Osogbo Steel Rolling Company.

Osogbo City is the trade center for a farming region. Yams, cassava, grain, and tobacco are grown. Cotton is grown and used to weave cloth. It is also home to several hotels and a football stadium with a capacity of 10,000 and a second division professional league team.pt:Osogbo
