Paradise Lost (Penderecki)

Paradise Lost is an opera in two acts by Krzysztof Penderecki to an English libretto by Christopher Fry, based on the epic poem of the same name by Milton. First performance: Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago, 1978.
The opera is through composed, and is set in heaven, hell, on earth at the dawn of creation.
Paradise Lost is not part of the standard operatic repertory. There is a recording of it. It is rarely performed.
