In Mesopotamian mythology tablets stolen by Anzu from Enlil.[1] Supposedly whoever possessed the tablets ruled the universe.[2] Speculation has several scenarios by which this could be true. In an ancient and primitive society information such as instructions on how and when to plant, or what kind of plants and animals were poisonous or could be used as medicine, or even how to read and write were considered valuable and kept by a select few on clay tablets. Whoever possessed the tablets could conceiveably make or break the community.
