The Amazing Race 2 was the second installment of the popular reality television show, The Amazing Race. It premiered on March 11, 2002 and ended on May 15, 2002.

Results

The following teams participated in the Race, listed in reverse finishing order:

• Red means the team was eliminated.
• Blue means the team was the last to arrive at a pit stop in a non-elimination leg of the race.
• Green means the team won the Fast Forward clue.
• + Gary and Dave arrived 2nd, but were penalized for speeding. They departed 3rd after a 42 minuite penalty.
• * Chris and Alex arrived 7th, but after Shola and Doyin are eliminated, the Boston Boys also receive a 42 minuite penalty for speeding.

Trivia

• The final 3 teams visited: 5 continents, 8 countries, and traveled 52,000 miles
• After the show, Blake founded a reality television network
• Tara and Wil have remained business partners after the Race
• Gary is currently an editor for The Amazing Race
• Phil waited over 24 hours for Peggy and Claire to arrive at the Pit Stop--the longest amount of time Phil has waited for the last team to arrive.
• Peggy & Claire, Shola & Doyin and Mary & Peach did not participate the roadblock and they preceed to Pit Stop.
• In the final footrace to the finish, Tara & Wil had the lead but had been outpassed by Chris & Alex. This marked the closest finish in The Amazing Race history.
