Capital Gang

The Capital Gang was a weekly political show on CNN. It aired on Saturday evenings. Regular panelists included Margaret Carlson, Robert Novak, Al Hunt, Mark Shields, and Kate O'Beirne. Usually four of the five above listed commentators would be featured along with a prominent politician from either party. O'Bierne and Novak were the conservative panelists while Shields, Hunt, and Carlson were the liberal ones. The show had aired for approximately twenty years until CNN decided to cancel it in 2005.
There was also a Capital Gang Sunday edition hosted by James Glassman in the mid 1990's. It featured panelists Juan Williams, Howard Fineman, Ruth Conniff, James Warren, and Mona Charen. This show did not feature any guests. It was canceled in 1998 along with CNN's Sunday edition of Crossfire.
