The castle
Tropea is a municipality located within the territory of the Province of Vibo Valentia, in Calabria (Italy).
The town is a very famous bathing place located near the Tyrrhenian Sea, toward the south with respect to Vibo Valentia and northward with respect to Ricadi and Capo Vaticano.
On May 8, 2005, the first route of the 2005 Giro d'Italia concluded in Tropea.
